POP band The Hoosiers have been announced as the headline act for Teddy Rocks Festival in Blandford Forum this May bank holiday weekend.

The festival’s full line-up has been announced, along with a move to a larger capacity site at Stour Meadows, Blandford Forum.

The line-up includes The Hoosiers, best known for the top five chart hits Worried About Ray and Goodbye Mr A.

Also on the bill is highly rated rockers Don Broco, whose current album Automatic reached the UK top 10 and From The Jam, featuring the legendary Bruce Foxton.

Teddy Rocks Festival was founded in 2012 by Tom Newton, who lost his 10 year old brother Ted in 2010 to Ewing’s Sarcoma, a very rare bone cancer.

Tom started off with a small gig in 2011 supported by friends and family in the restaurant area of The Greyhound pub in Blandford where £400 was raised.

Tom says: “Teddy Rocks has been growing every year and we’re so excited to be announcing our best line-up yet. With a bigger capacity at the Stour Meadows site, we’re giving more people the chance to see what we hope will be the most awesome festival Blandford has ever seen.

“We can now raise even more money to help fight children’s cancer and we have the potential to make a genuinely huge difference to more children and their families - so get out there and buy a ticket!”

All proceeds from Teddy Rocks go to Teddy20, a children’s cancer charity.
