TONIGHT night sees a homecoming show for rock band The Villanovas at The Winchester bar in Bournemouth. The highly-rated band all met at local music school ACMR in Kinson, and are now studying together in London.

Last year, they packed out Mr Kyps in Poole with the launch of their debut EP, within only eight months of forming. They've since been featured in the Blues Magazine's 'Top Bands To Watch in 2015' and are currently being mentored by Steve Rodford (drummer from legendary 60's band - The Zombies) and will be going in to the studio with him to record new material.

“There's always one guy at the back of the gig who says they know such and such. Luckily he did and we went along to meet Steve when the Zombies played in Portsmouth,” says band member Brett Smith-Daniels.

“He really liked the songs and was impressed by the style we were playing. As a band we have quite eclectic tastes, but I'd say The Rolling Stones are one if the biggest influences on us,” added Brett.

Their self-titled EP is currently available on iTunes, Amazon and Spotify. A debut album is currently in the pipeline and a video for new single Burning Planes has just been released on YouTube.
