BOURNEMOUTH singer Charlie Lenehan will be performing at Wembley arena on Wednesday, as part of charity event Voice In A Million.

The teenager is one half of pop-duo, Bars and Melody, who will be special guests.

The concert presents an opportunity of a lifetime for school children from all backgrounds throughout the UK to come together in song and perform in front of their own family and friends.

Last year saw Charlie Lenahan and Leondre Devries find fame as Bars and Melody on ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent.

Since appearing on the show’s semi-final, their anti-bullying themed hit single Hopeful has reached number five in the UK Single charts.

The boys have also been invited to Hollywood to appear on US TV’s top-rated Ellen Show, after talk-show host Ellen DeGeneres saw them on Britain’s Got Talent.

Speaking of their Britain’s Got Talent success, the ‘BAM’ boys as they are known said: “It is absolutely insane. Two months ago we were at school dreaming of being able to get into the music industry now we can’t even walk down the street without getting stopped for pictures.

“Britain’s Got Talent has been the most amazing journey for us. We have been in the papers, magazines and even went to America to perform on The Ellen Show. Simon Cowell changed our whole lives in a single golden buzzer.”

Bars and Melody have also announced a date at the Old Fire Station on Thursday, April 9.
