ART rock legends 10cc will be rolling back the years with a performance of their definitive album at the Bournemouth Pavilion on Sunday.

Including a special video contribution from co-founder Kevin Godley, the band will play their 1974 classic Sheet Music in its entirety.

Part of a unique tour, 10cc will be celebrating the 40th anniversary of the highly inventive album, including the hits The Wall Street Shuffle and Silly Love.

The second half of the evening will feature all the usual 10cc classics, including Dreadlock Holiday, Rubber Bullets, I’m Not in Love, The Dean and I, and I’m Mandy Fly Me.

Creators of some of the greatest pop records of the last century, the group were one of the most influential in the history of pop.

They sold more than 30 million records worldwide. In the UK, the band had 11 top 10 hits and three number ones – Rubber Bullets; I’m Not in Love and Dreadlock Holiday.

Sheet Music remains a masterclass in the composition of popular music and typifies the eclecticism and breathless invention that characterised the band’s earlier work – soft and fuzzed art-rock guitar, immaculate harmonies and elements of spoof and parody.

Led by 10cc original Graham Gouldman, the current live band has been together for more than a decade, with Gouldman recently inducted into the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame in America.

“Year on year we get busier and visit more countries,” says Gouldman.

“It’s great, we love touring and playing together and the audiences these days are very gratifying. You get the people you would expect, who grew up with 10cc, but you also get young kids who know the songs too.”
