The Sensational 60s Experience is heading our way on its 50th anniversary tour and has announced a date at Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre on November 14. The ultimate 60s extravaganza will see six legendary names from the 1960’s take to the stage.

They are: Herman’s Hermits, The Swinging Blue Jeans, pictured, Dave Berry, The Union Gapuk, The Ivy League and Alan Mosca from Freddie and The Dreamers.

Herman’s Hermits were a dominating force worldwide throughout the mid-60’s music scene. From 1964 the band chalked up over 23 top 20 singles, 10 hit albums and three major movies.

So far they have sold 75,000,000 records worldwide. Their chart breaking hits include Mrs Brown You’ve Got A Lovely Daughter, Silhouettes, There’s A Kind Of Hush, Henry VIII, Something Is Happening and I’m Into Something Good.

The Swinging Blue Jeans had hits with Hippy Hippy Shake, You’re No Good, Good Golly Miss Molly and Don’t Make Me Over which are the bedrock of the band’s memorable live performances. The Swinging Blue Jeans has been led by Alan Lovell, faithfully carrying on the long tradition of the band.

Peter Oakman continues with the band to this day along with Jeff Bannister and Graham Hollingworth who complete the line-up.

Dave Berry enjoyed 1960s success with top-10 singles The Crying Game, Memphis Tennessee, Mama, Little Things and My Baby Left Me.

The Union Gapuk will perform such classics as Young Girl which hit the number 1 spot in the UK and number 2 in the USA, followed by Woman Woman, Over You and This Girl Is A Woman Now.

The Ivy League’s Perry Ford introduced Dave Buckley into the band during the 60s to add his unique falsetto voice creating The Ivy League sound. Their hits include Funny How Love Can Be, Tossing & Turning and That’s Why I’m Crying.

The evening is hosted by Alan Mosca.
