FOLLOWING a very successful summer of festivals including a show stopping performance at the Purbeck Folk Festival, up and-coming folk-roots band The Willows play the Bournemouth Folk Club on Sunday at the Ocean View Hotel.

The five-piece from Cambridge released their much anticipated second album, Amidst Fiery Skies on October 6.

Co-produced by Seth Lakeman no less, the new album showcases the breathtaking vocals of Jade Rhiannon, supported by rich vocal harmonies and dynamic acoustic musicianship.

Regularly compared to the likes of Alison Krauss & Union Station and Laura Marling, the band's musical style pulls influence from both Americana and British folk traditions.

The Bournemouth audience can expect powerful music from a band that is equally at home with pin-drop intimacy, as they are invigorating foot-stompers.
