THE most famous family in pop is heading to Bournemouth.

The surviving members of the Jackson 5 will play the BIC tomorrow night as part of their Unity tour.

It’s the first time the brothers have hit the UK in 28 years.

The Jacksons – Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon and Tito – first achieved international superstardom with their late brother Michael in the 1970s and became the first group ever to have their first four singles hit No1 on the Billboard Charts.

Throughout a four-decade long career, the group had a huge impact on music and pop culture and they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997. Jackie Jackson said: “This is a dream coming true.

“I can’t believe this is finally happening.

“There’s nothing like having all the brothers on stage at the same time.

“This will be exciting for our fans around the world - and I know at each concert, MJ’s spirit will be in the house with us.”

The Jackson 5 has played in the area before with a show at the Poole Arts Centre in 1979.

Michael Jackson also made another visit to the region in 1981, to Beaulieu to visit Lord Montagu.

He was accompanied by the entertainer Liberace.
