DIG out your favourite Arran sweater and sandals then head down to the Lighthouse Poole for one of the finest folk bands in the UK. Friday evening will see Southern Tenant Folk Union return to the venue, following their sell-out show in 2011.
The seven piece band features banjo, mandolin, fiddle and harmony vocal. The band performs with a touch of soul on their murder ballads and laments but also tear it up with their high energy hootenanny sound.
Championed by Whispering Bob Harris and Steve Lamacq on BBC Radio 2 and lauded by the music press, the band is currently lighting up the folk music scene.
