If you thought WWE 12 was just plain wizard and it was about goshdarn time something was done to reinvent the series, number 13 is will give you further spasms of glee.

It won't inject your eyeballs full of moist adjustment in the way of its predecessor, merely tweaked a few bits here and there for the better.

This may greatly anger those who upgraded from 12 to 13 desperately looking for cartons of innovation to justify the purchase. Unlucky son, it's an improvement, but not wholesale.

Spectacular Moments allows you some marvellously dramatic finishing moves, including using your opponent's face to bust the ring to pieces. Bouts are also a hell of a lot smoother than the disjointed mess of moves that plagued many of 12's matches. It's still not perfect, but at least it no longer looks like an Anime flip book drawn by a sick pony.

Reversing your fat ring-mate's moves is also made a lot easier here, with an added early-late indicator to improve your shoddy reflexes, and the customisation has also opened right up for those who want to really mess about in 13's insides.

Another fine effort then,  but more of a 12.5 as far as progression is concerned.
