ROCK legends Motorhead, bring their unique brand of metal mayhem to the south coast this month as part of their annual tour.

This year the band will be supported by British punk bands Anti Nowhere League and UK Subs when they play the Southampton Guildhall on November 15.

Formed in 1975, the band enjoyed massive success in the early 1980s and their albums Overkill, Bomber, Ace of Spades and, in particular, No Sleep ‘til Hammersmith, cemented their reputation as one of Britain’s premier rock exports.

Typically classified as heavy metal, Motorhead’s fusion of punk into the genre helped to pioneer speed metal and thrash metal even though Lemmy prefers to simply describe the band’s output as rock ’n’ roll.

The band is ranked number 26 on VH1’s 100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock.

Commenting on the band’s 35th Anniversary tour last year, Lemmy said: “Who would have thought?

“Almost like matrimony and no divorce in sight!”
