THE annual Wimborne Save the Children parade is set to take place this Saturday.
It will be the 26th year for the much-loved event, which will this year feature around 50 floats from schools, youth groups and local attractions together with vintage cars, Morris dancers, the Bourne-mouth Carnival Band and more.
Led by the Dorset Youth Marching Band, participants will leave Cobham in Brook Road at 2.15pm before making their way to the Square for 3pm.
The parade marks the end of a day of fun for charity Save the Children. The town’s Square will host a mini funfair, and there will be face painting, glitter tattoo artists and a performance by the Allenbourn School Band.
Group Gugge 2000 will also entertain the crowds before the floats arrive in the afternoon.
