AN “UNBELIEVABLE” act of kindness has enabled a Bournemouth man to start his own chauffeur firm after he was gifted a £110,000 limousine.

Jeremy Scott came to Dorset to drive for a living after suffering a run of bad luck seven years ago.

He had lost his business, endured five-break-ins within 18 months, suffered the loss of his parents and been evicted overnight from his rented home because the owner had defaulted on the mortgage while defending a murder charge.

He came to Bournemouth with his wife and two sons and was offered a job as a chauffeur which brought him into contact with business people, footballers and celebrities.

“Eighteen months ago, I was offered a job as a full-time chauffeur to a businessman. I later learned the gentleman in question particularly wanted someone with an armed forces background,” Jeremy said.

“Not for the first time, my Royal Navy, and latterly RAF Reserve service paid off.”

His employer was involved in an investment fund that backs technology start-ups and after mixing with business people, Jeremy spent weeks writing a business plan for a specialist chauffeuring business.

He handed the business plan to his boss, who told him the fund could not invest in it because it was not about technology.

But the employer added shortly afterwards: “You don’t need the investment fund to back you. We should make this a private matter.”

Jeremy said: “By the time we had reached Bournemouth, I had secured all the support I needed to start my new venture. The truly unbelievable part of this story was the gift of his £110,000 BMW 7 ActveHybrid limousine, the very car I had been chauffeuring him in for the last four months.

“Within one week, my website was designed, marketing organised, insurances secured, bank account opened and premises let. So, I’m now in business for myself, again. Determined to succeed, if not a little daunted.”

His company, Noble and Scott LTD, will offer services from local commutes to day trips further afield. The car has Wi-Fi, individual climate control, heated reclining seats, privacy blinds and individually controlled front and rear TV.

Jeremy has launched the company with offers including day services to May Racing Weekend at Royal Ascot and Chesterton’s Polo in the Park.

He said: “I am pleased to announce the launch of Noble and Scott LTD and warmly invite Dorset’s thriving business community and residents to travel with us in both style and comfort.”
