A BODY repair shop has had a major overhaul at the hands of one of the area’s longest-established building specialists.

Drewsons Building Maintenance, part of the Drewitt Group, has revamped Malvern Body Repairs on The Drewitt Industrial Estate, Ringwood Road.

Drewsons project managed the complex eight week construction phase to restore industrial units. The work included replacing a corrugated asbestos roof with a profiled steel fully-insulated roof, rewiring the entire unit, decorating throughout and providing an additional gas supply for a new combi-spray booth for Malvern’s.

Drewsons also co-ordinated sub-contractors from Drewlec Electrical Services and Drewsons Plumbing and Heating Services.

Roger Tubbs, owner of Malvern Body Repairs, which has more than 30 years’ experience in car and small van body repairs, said: “I am delighted to have been able to work with my Landlords to facilitate this refurbishment. As a result it has enabled me to invest in a new combi spray booth which can produce an outstanding manufacturers’ paint finish. This will enhance the quality of the service I am able to provide to my clients.”

Gillian Drewitt, managing director of the Drewitt Group, said: “Roger and his team have been tenants on the Drewitt Industrial Estate for more than 20 years and apart from general maintenance, these units had not been touched since they were built in the late 1950s.

“The refurbishment is part of our ongoing programme of reinvesting in our estate, which adds value to our portfolio and also provides our tenants with a better environment in which to operate their businesses.”
