QUALITY, excellence and achievement are on the agenda as Poole’s annual tourism awards return to celebrate successful businesses that have had a significant impact on the town's tourism industry.

On Thursday September 25, the Hytes restaurant at the Harbour Heights Hotel will host a special lunch where the awards will be revealed.

Organised by Poole Tourism and sponsored by commercial property agents, surveyors and town planners Sibbett Gregory, the awards recognise those who excel in their tourism field and acknowledge the quality, diversity and achievements of an industry that contributes hugely to the local economy.

Director Jonathan Sibbett said: “Each year the quality of Poole’s Tourism Industry continues to grow and we are proud to have had such a long association with these awards, which recognise businesses and individuals who invest and strive to enhance Poole’s reputation and tourism product.

“The awards reflect the commitment of local businesses that keep a cool head in the current economic climate and work in partnership with tourism to scale new heights in the tourism industry and make Poole a fantastic town for both visitors and residents.”

There are six award categories: n Tourism Development of the Year – a development that has identified and exploited opport-unities that benefit tourism and local community.
