HOWARD Joan Aged 98, passed away peacefully at home on Monday 4th June 2018. Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Joan had led a very interesting and happy life. During the Second World War she served in the WAAF and later, when married, she lived in many African countries. Having retired to Ferndown, Dorset Joan then became the town's first Lady Mayor. A position she repeated again a few years later. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Her Funeral Service will be held at St Mary's Church, Ferndown on Tuesday 19th June at 10:00am.
