  • Reporting by Ned Payne

4:57pm

City had a purple patch for 15 minutes in the second period but after that Cherries looked relatively comfortable.

4:56pm

4:53pm

Six minutes of added time. On comes Elliott Ward for Harry Arter as Cherries try to run down the clock. Ward hasn't played since February 1 due to injury.

4:51pm

Grabban booked for delaying a free kick.

4:50pm

Wimborne have lost 2-1 to Paulton.

4:46pm

Just over three minutes of normal time left.

4:45pm

Fraser slides through for Arter and the midfielder’s left-footed first-time strike is repelled by Randolph.

4:44pm

Bournemouth rugby won 25-21 against Launceston, keeping their National 2 South survival hopes alive.

4:42pm

Surman is on for Kermorgant. Peter Lovenkrands has replaced Aaron Martin for City.

4:39pm

Francis clears from his own box and the ball goes all the way through to Grabban, who races clear. He is one-on-one but Randolph blocks and the ball goes out for a corner. Golden chance for a hat-trick gone.

4:39pm

That really should have been 4-3. Jonathan Spector jinks into the area and sits up a cross for Novak and the substitute heads over from eight yards.

4:35pm

You can’t say City don’t deserve that on the balance of play in the second half. Macheda is given far too much time to set himself 20 yards out and blasts low into the left corner. Camp had no chance.

4:32pm

Ritchie works himself a bit of space 20 yards out and flashes a well-hit drive just past the left post. It’s a rare effort on goal in the second half by Cherries.

4:29pm

Ryan Fraser comes on for Pugh.

4:27pm

Bournemouth Poppies now 4-0 down to Folland Sports.

4:27pm

Chris Burke shoots wide from outside the area and Camp was never worried.

4:26pm

Birmingham have been better in the second half. More pressure from the home side.

4:22pm

Should add that Lee Novak is on for Zigic. Came on after 56 minutes.

4:20pm

The hosts pull one back. Ibe has been City’s best player and he nods across goal for sub Macheda to sweep low past Camp. A carbon copy of the Leeds result, perhaps?

4:16pm

In the aftermath of that goal, a handful of the Birmingham fans left St Andrew's.

4:15pm

What a goal. What a goal. Harte’s corner is headed straight back out to the Irishman and he skips past the slipping Callum Reilly and curls a wonderful left-footed strike into the far corner from the right edge of the area. An absolute ripper.

4:10pm

Cherries knocking it about nicely.

4:08pm

4:08pm

4:07pm

Zigic blasts into the net from a narrow angle but the referee had already blown for a push on Cherries captain Tommy Elphick.

4:05pm

4:04pm

We will resume in a matter of moments.

4:01pm

Biggleswade are 3-0 up against Chippenham so it looks like Bash will not be relegated today.

3:58pm

Poole trail 2-0 to Bedford at half-time, while Bashley are level at 0-0 with Banbury. Wimborne are locked at 1-1 with Paulton.

3:54pm

3:53pm

A very entertaining half of football, although I'm not sure Lee Clark will see it that way. Cherries got away with one early on when the ball hit the post, but they scored some great goals. Even the penalty was a cracker.

3:52pm

3:51pm

A corner from Ibe is met well by Paul Robinson with his head but Camp makes a stunning one-handed save as he tips over the bar. Brilliant.

3:48pm

3:46pm

Macheda is playing up top with Zigic. Birmingham were really struggling to play off the big man before but they seem to have improved slightly since then.

3:44pm

Wimborne are level at 1-1 with Paulton. Bournemouth Poppies are 2-0 down to Folland Sports.

3:43pm

Andrew Shinnie off. Federico Macheda on.

3:37pm

City's man-mountain Nikola Zigic nods across goal but no one is there to tap in.

3:34pm

Grabban slams his penalty into the top right corner. That’s how to do it. Cherries in cruise control. Randolph is booked in the aftermath.

3:33pm

Kermorgant sets Grabban free in the box and he nicks it past keeper Randolph and goes down. The linesman signals for a penalty and it’s given by referee Mick Russell. Very similar to the spot kick Grabban won against Blackpool.

3:29pm

3:29pm

3:26pm

Poole are 2-0 down to Bedford.

3:25pm

Kermorgant laid a reverse pass into Arter and the midfielder released Marc Pugh down the left flank. Pugh’s low cross took a nick off a defender and dropped right at the feet of Grabban at the back post, allowing the striker to stroke gleefully home.

3:24pm

Yann Kermorgant went down briefly but is now up and OK.

3:21pm

Most things going through Ibe on the left for Brimingham so far.

3:20pm

Ibe shoots over from a decent position.

3:19pm

A controversial opener. Ibe was not allowed back on to the pitch by the officials and Ian Harte set up Lewis Grabban to cross to the far post and Matt Ritchie was there to volley back across goal into the far corner. It looked like Darren Randolph got something on it but it wasn’t enough.

3:18pm

Jordon Ibe’s corner kick ricochets around at the near post and then bounces off the upright. Nearly a horrible goal to concede but Cherries escape.

3:14pm

All Cherries have created so far was a Matt Ritchie effort that deflected well wide.

3:10pm

Poole are 1-0 down to Bedford.

3:09pm

Harry Arter goes in late on Andrew Shinnie on the edge of the penalty area and former Swindon man Paul Caddis curls his free kick a fraction wide at the near post. The home fans thought it was in.

3:02pm

We're off.

3:01pm

Moments away from kick-off now.

3:01pm

Bournemouth rugby have pulled it back to 14-7 against Launceston.

2:57pm

A fair few Cherries fans have made the trip today and they give a rousing welcome for the players.

2:55pm

Launceston now 14-0 up against Bournemouth rugby.

2:50pm

Big afternoon for lowly Bashley in the Southern Premier as they continue to battle the drop, with a trip to Banbury in the offing. A win for Chippenham at home to Biggleswade and a loss for Bash would spell the end. Elsewhere, play-off chasers Poole are at home to Bedford while Wimborne entertain Paulton in Division One South & West.

2:47pm

Bournemouth rugby's battle against the drop has not started well. They are 7-0 down to Launceston.

2:42pm

Glorious afternoon here. Pitch looks in good nick. Unseemly to think that Birmingham have only won here twice all season in the league.

2:39pm

2:38pm

The warm-ups are under way. Not many in the stadium yet...

2:38pm

2:35pm

There’s one change to the starting line-up with midfielder Eunan O’Kane in for Andrew Surman, who picked up a knock in the 4-1 win over Leeds on Tuesday. Winger Ryan Fraser comes back into the fold and takes his place on the bench.

2:05pm

Welcome to St Andrew's where Cherries will hope to follow up their superb 4-1 win over Leeds in midweek with another three points today.

This is just so brilliant listening to this on Solent. What a smashing time to e a Cherries fan. Well done, Ian, for getting your first goal for AFCB you've obviously been taking notes from Grabbs :-)
