A WOMAN whose body was found on Boscombe beach last month has been identified as Madia Shebikhanova from Berkshire.
A passing cyclist spotted the 48-year-old lying in the porch area of a beach hut near the bottom of the Manor Steps zigzag, east of Boscombe Pier, at around 11am on January 11.
Speaking at an inquest at Bournemouth Coroner’s Court yesterday, coroner’s officer Alan Young said: “She was lying on her left hand side looking towards the sea.
“The member of the public rode to the coastguard, who attended and carried out CPR prior to the arrival of the ambulance.”
Ms Shebikhanova, of Oxford Road, Reading, was pronounced dead at the scene, and the cause of death was recorded as Tramadol and morphine toxicity by a pathologist.
Originally from Grozny in Russia, she was listed as a missing person by Thames Valley Police.
Dorset assistant coroner Richard Middleton adjourned the inquest until an unspecified later date.
