A 21-year-old Poole man has been jailed for 12 months after admitting causing the death of a teenager by careless driving.
Joshua Sadler, of Fleet Road, was the driver of a Renault Clio which careered off the road and hit a tree, killing 19-year-old Mikey Maguire from Upton.
The crash took place at Huntick Road, Lytchett Matravers at 10pm on February 8 last year, close to the entrance of Huntick Farm Caravan Park.
Mikey, a former student of Wareham Middle School and The Purbeck School, died at the scene.
Tributes poured in for Mikey after his death and his mum, Allison Jarman, has since set up Mikey’s Foundation, which aims to promote road safety and campaign to lower the speed limit on Huntick Road.
