A MAN has been released on bail after a bomb disposal team was called to Ensbury Park on Wednesday evening.
Police said this morning that a 77-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of possession of ammunition for a firearm without a licence.
He was released on police bail.
A bomb disposal team and police were sent to Ensbury Park Road on Wednesday evening.
Police said that officers, assisted by the military, searched a property after “a number of items of military memorabilia”, including ammunition, were found.
Residents were reassured that there was no danger to them.
Locals reported seeing a Royal Logistics Corps truck and police cars on the scene.
