A WOMAN is fighting for her life after a crash in Poole on Saturday night.
As reported by the Daily Echo last night, the A349 Broadstone Way was blocked off at both ends after the 9pm collision and police, fire and ambulance crews were sent to the scene.
A police spokesman said that the accident happened at the junction of Beechbank Avenue between two cars.
It involved a blue Vauxhall Astra, registered to a Wimborne man, and a silver Honda Civic, registered to a Broadstone woman.
The fire service said that they were called to cut two women in the Civic out of the car.
Both were taken to Poole Hospital and one of them, a 70-year-old, is now in a life-threatening condition, police said overnight.
The road was closed for hours while crash investigators examined the scene.
