MORE than 700 motorbikes headed for Poole Quay for the latest bike night.
A sunny evening on Tuesday saw Colin Hobbs, right, from Winterborne Kingston win Bike of the Night with his Yellow Yamaha FS1E or ‘Fizzy’ 50cc YB100.
The judge for the evening, Alan Dunkerly from BLD Group, also pictured, said: “This bike evokes many memories and stories – it is a really lovely example.”
Colin added: “I’ve owned the bike for 18 months and the YB100 converted to a Fizzy means I have the best of both worlds.”
Colin rode home with a race kit courtesy of Muc-Off, plus a Bike of the Night mug. He will also be invited to take part in the Bike of the Year finale at the end of the season, with cash prizes on offer for the top three places.
Season armbands are available from the Welcome Centre on the quay for £7.50, or bikers can pay £1 entry on the night for each individual event.
