Police have found a 91-year-old woman who went missing from her home in Sandbanks this afternoon.

Dorothy Large, who is known as Dot, went missing from her home in Panorama Road at around 1.40pm.

Force Command Centre Supervisor Chris Brolan, of Dorset Police, said earlier : “Her family are very concerned as Dorothy may become easily confused and come to some harm.

“She has only recently moved to Poole and has previously lived in Wimborne. She has a small amount of money on her.

“Anyone who knows of Dorothy’s whereabouts should contact police urgently as we need to ensure that she is safe and well.”

Later tonight a Dorset police spokesperson said Dorothy Large had been found safe and well, not far from her home.

Ah I wondered what all the police were doing there at 5PM. I was parked up next to the sea scoffing a 4 quid pizza from Tesco express. Then suddenly there were cop cars everywhere. I feared either they're spotted I hadn't purchased a parking ticket or perhaps Gazza had lumped someone in Cafe Shore.
Anyway they've found the old girl so nothing to worry about.
