Defiant company boss says no jobs at threat

First published in News

THE defiant boss of a vintage warehouse has reassured traders and shoppers that no jobs are at risk, despite an ongoing planning row. The future of Molly’s Den in Francis Avenue, West Howe, will be decided by Bournemouth’s planning committee on Wednesday. They will consider a retrospective planning application for their shops, retail warehouse, cafe, office and workshops, which is being recommended for refusal by planning officers. But managing director Dean Souter said there was no threat to the successful emporium. He said: “It’s incredibly successful and generates a lot of money for the local economy, people love it. We are clearly hoping for a positive decision on Wednesday. “However, if it goes against us, we will simply open another warehouse on a retail park, so no jobs are under threat at all. Molly’s Den is going nowhere. In fact we plan to open another 10 emporiums across the UK in the next five years.”

Good for you. This world needs more go getters, perhaps we wouldn't be in such a financial mess if the country had more people like this, willing to take a chance and fight for his own business. Good luck.

Yes you are right , the world needs more people to disregard planning law and set up business in places they shouldn't because of cost. What a bloody mess we'd be in. Think i will build a big extension on my house. Sod the law and my neighbours. I think not as that's not me.
