POOLE Museum will be taking part in a global social media campaign to promote history and the arts.
Staff at the museum will be taking to Twitter to join institutions across the world to celebrate #MuseumWeek.
The campaign, which will run between Monday March 24 and Sunday March 30, aims to give Twitter users direct and unparalleled access to some of Europe’s leading museums and the people behind them.
Councillor Xena Dion, cabinet portfolio holder for leisure and culture, Borough of Poole, said she was impressed with the innovation and creativity within the team at Poole Museum.
She added: “Twitter is a fantastic way of engaging with people across the world and showing them how much there is on offer at Poole Museum. It’s great that we are taking part in this international event and I would encourage people to get involved and head to the museum and take their own #MuseumSelfie.”
