A TRANSPORT lifeline has been thrown to residents between Lytchett Matravers and Poole, thanks to morebus.

The company announced last week a new route 10 service will be added to its network from Monday, April 7.

Ed Wills, operations director at morebus, says that they believe that the new route 10 can be run without the support of local government subsidies and succeed where a previous operator removed a service.

He said: “We have listened to requests to provide a sustainable link from Lytchett Matravers, via Upton Crossroads to Poole bus station and feel that the investment in resources will be well placed.”

The new hourly service will be promoted with the theme ‘ten good reasons’.

Lychette Matravers is a growing area,
Lots of new houses and mums + the over 60s,
So l hope it works out for everyone.
Every one shops in Poole .Only a 20 minute bus ride,

Promotional material from Morebus states " providing a useful commuter link ". Yes really useful, leave LM at 0700 and be stuck in Poole until your work starts at 0900! Similarly it is stated that the service "provides an opportunity for you to stop off at Upton Country Park", only problem is the bus does not run on Sundays.

I don't see how this will help the hundreds of people who start work in Poole & Bournemouth 7 days a week!
