ADAM Smith missed today's trip to Nottingham Forest due to illness, boss Scott Parker explained.
The 30-year-old, who played the full 90 minutes of the opening-day draw against West Brom, was a notable absentee from Cherries' already depleted squad at the City Ground.
Parker was unable to call on eight first-team players for the game against Nottingham Forest, but still saw his side come away with a 2-1 victory thanks to goals from David Brooks and Philip Billing, either side of a Scott McKenna header.

Quizzed on Smith's absence, Parker told the Daily Echo: "He’s not well at the moment, Adam. He’s obviously not in the travelling party, so that was disappointing.
"When you’re obviously as much stretched as we are, you could do without that.
"But such is the world we’re in at the moment. But I thought we adapted and did well in that."
Smith was replaced in the starting XI by academy graduate Zeno Ibsen Rossi, who made his Championship debut at centre-back as Chris Mepham shifted to an unfamiliar right-back role.
