BOSS Scott Parker admits Cherries got David Brooks "out of a hole" by holding on for victory over Nottingham Forest.
Leading 2-1 thanks to goals from both Brooks and Philip Billing, the former was given his marching orders on the hour mark.
Already on a yellow card for an earlier foul, Brooks was shown a second booking after pulling back Forest defender Jordi Osei-Tutu.

Despite playing with 10 men, Cherries dug in to take maximum points at the City Ground for the first time in their history, at the ninth attempt.
Discussing Brooks's red card, Parker said: "I’ve explained to him exactly the disappointment. His team-mates have got him out of a hole today.
"He’s let his team down in that sense. He’s made a silly decision, it’s a stupid decision.
"He understands that. He’s sheepish in there, he knows exactly what he’s done and the mistake he’s made.
"This is what happens sometimes. Young players, developing players, and I put David into that bracket to be fair. He’s made a mistake.
"No problem, he needs to learn from that, not make it again and I’ll make sure of that.
"I’ll work with him and I’ll explain to him exactly how that is. But it was a silly mistake from him."
Brooks will now miss Wednesday's trip to Birmingham City as he serves a one-match suspension.
