It was a special occasion for a walking group in Dorchester.
On the first Monday in the month when the Dorchester Strollers start their walks from the fountains at Tesco they go to the Joseph Weld Hospice for their post-walk coffee.
Twice a year 15 members stay to have a pre-booked lunch at the hospice.
The occasion was used for Mary Foskett, vice-chairman of the strollers, to present committee member Lynda Maidment with a volunteer thank you certificate as she was not able to attend the party when the Mayor presented certificates to committee members and
leaders.
Dorchester Strollers is an accredited Walking for Health Group offering two walk occasions each week, Mondays at 10.30am and Tuesdays at 2.15pm.
The walks are led by specially trained leaders and are free.
Occasionally there are Thursday afternoon or Sunday afternoon walks.
Programmes can be obtained from Dorchester Tourist Information Centre, by looking on walkingforhealth.org.uk or by ringing 01305 263759.
