QUAD bikes will be racing on Weymouth Beach this weekend.
This will be the second Dickies Weymouth Beach X and will see adult and youth riders from the UK and Europe race around a course on the sands on bikes ranging between 50cc and 700cc.
The event, which will also feature powerboats and sidecar racing, will see trade stands and exhibitors set up near Weymouth Pavilion.
Racing and demonstrations will take place both days from 9.30am-3.30pm.
The event was due to be held in February but was called off due to the winter storms.
Holding the event later in the year means it comes hot on the heels of the Weymouth Beach Motocross.
Quad bike race organisers O.R.E Events hope the Weymouth Beach X will be just as popular and see visitors pour into the resort at what is normally a quiet time of year.
The event is supported by Weymouth and Portland Borough Council and the Riviera Hotel and is in support of Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.
