A LORRY caused a Dorchester road to be blocked off for several hours after it collided with a tree.
The HGV lorry collided with low hanging branches on the road near the junction between St Georges Road and Fenway Close.
The lorry carried the logo of a Hampshire-based haulage company. It was registered to a man from Fareham.
No one was injured but the collision did cause the cab at the front of the lorry to twist slightly.
A road closure was put in place at around 3pm at the junction between St George's Road and Eddison Avenue.
The closure prevented access to the Dorchester Household Recycling Centre and vehicles were redirected along Eddison Avenue.
Dorset Police issued a warning advising people to avoid the area whilst the tree was removed.
Once the tree was removed, the vehicle was recovered and the road reopened at around 8pm.
