LIGHTNING is believed to be the cause of three large fires across Dorset.

Investigations into the blazes are underway after crews were tasked throughout this morning.
A spokesman for Dorset Fire and Rescue said lightning could be the cause.
Dozens of firefighters tackled a devastating barn fire in north Dorset which killed and injured animals.
More than 40 animals were rescued from the blaze at Spire Hill Farm on Cooks Lane in Thornhill, Stalbridge but some had to be put down by vets due to their condition.
Crews were also tasked to the Cliff End hotel in Boscombe while another fire broke out a Lychett Minster School this morning.

Investigations into all three blazes are still underway.
