STARLET Jaidon Anthony is looking forward to incomings at the Vitality Stadium, sharing: “I’m sure there will be some new faces.”

Cherries look set for a busy end to the January window, with plenty of buzz around potential signings.

The Daily Echo understands that Cherries are keen on Ivorian midfielder Hamed Traore, with a deal worth £20million reportedly being negotiated with Serie A club Sassuolo.

Uruguayan left wing back Matías Viña is set to travel to the UK to undergo a medical following the go-ahead from current club Roma.

The Italian outfit had waited until a replacement was found before sanctioning the loan move worth a potential €750,000, which contains an option for the deal to be made permanent for a reported fee of €15million.

Gary O'Neil's side have already brought in attackers Dango Ouattara and Antoine Semenyo, as well as veteran goalkeeper Darren Randolph.

Cherries were not in action over the weekend following their FA Cup knockout at the hands of Burnley earlier this month, with Anthony confident that the two-week break in fixtures will allow for new signings to settle.

Speaking to the Daily Echo, Anthony shared: “Obviously we know as a group there's a lot we can we can do better and keep growing as and this is a good opportunity for us to keep improving.

“I'm sure there will be some new faces and we can sort of gel as a team and hopefully come back strong for the next game.”

Transfer windows come with plenty of speculation for nearly every footballer, with Anthony no stranger to reports about his future after entering the final six months of his deal at the Vitality Stadium.

The 23-year-old has frequently indicated both how he would like to stay at Cherries, as well as the fact that he would not let talk of his future affect his performances.

Asked whether his goal-scoring appearance against Nottingham Forest proved that he was fully focused on his game, Anthony replied: “Yeah, I guess so.

“I don't know if I can say this myself, but I think I give everything in every game, and I hope that the fans can see that.

“I'm always trying my best. Obviously, sometimes it's tough games and you're not playing as well.

“But one thing that will never change is I give 100% for the team.

“Yeah, like I said, I'm focused on the football. Hopefully, like you say, it showed again (against Forest).”

Cherries are next in action on Saturday, February 4, away at Brighton and Hove Albion.
