STEVE Cook will no longer hold a testimonial match at Vitality Stadium this year.
The centre-back left Cherries in January 2022 to join Nottingham Forest, having made 388 appearances for the club, over a spell of more than 10 years.
Upon his departure, Cherries chief executive Neill Blake said: “Steve is an AFC Bournemouth legend.
“We look forward to welcoming him back to host his testimonial later this year.”
For those asking for an update, unfortunately I will not be holding my testimonial match later this year. Timings and logistics have made it difficult to plan but I hope to get the opportunity to see everyone back at the Vitality in the near future. Enjoy the off season everyone.… pic.twitter.com/Pe2E56mJNs

In September 2022, Cook took to social media to say plans were underway for the testimonial to be staged in the summer of 2023.
However, he has now confirmed on Twitter that is no longer the case.
The 32-year-old wrote: “For those asking for an update, unfortunately I will not be holding my testimonial match later this year.
“Timings and logistics have made it difficult to plan but I hope to get the opportunity to see everyone back at the Vitality in the near future.
