DORSET fighter Lee Cutler has been added to the undercard for Chris Billam-Smith’s world title fight at Vitality Stadium.

The Verwood-raised boxer, 27, will take on unbeaten Stanley Stannard in an English super-welterweight championship eliminator.

Cutler, who has a pro record of 12-1, is close friends with Billam-Smith and fought on his undercard for both nights at the BIC last year, beating Meshack Mwankemwa and Joel Julio.

Also part of the undercard are a host of fellow south coast talents in Joe Pigford, from Southampton, Portsmouth’s Michael McKinson and unbeaten Brighton heavyweight Tommy Welch.

Big-hitter Pigford (20-0) is set for a potentially explosive bout with fellow Brit Sam Eggington (33-8).

Meanwhile, Bournemouth’s Mace Ruegg will take on Dean Dodge and Southampton’s Lewis Edmondson is scheduled to face Slovakian Vladimir Belujski.

They join the already-announced Mikael Lawal versus Isaac Chamberlain, which comes before the main event of Billam-Smith against Lawrence Okolie.

The other bout which has now been confirmed is Olympic star Karriss Artingstall up against Jade Taylor.

Discussing the card on May 27, BOXXER founder Ben Shalom said: “The atmosphere at our Bournemouth events has been absolutely unbelievable and I think you’re going to see that taken to new heights at the Vitality Stadium in May.

“I guarantee that this is going to be one of the best British boxing events of the year.”
