JAIDON Anthony will leave contract talks with his agent and Cherries – with the starlet purely focusing on his football.

The Daily Echo understands that there is interest in Cherries winger Anthony from fellow Premier League clubs as he enters the final six months of his deal at the Vitality Stadium.

On the radar of former club Arsenal and fellow top flight outfit Leicester, there is also interest in the attacker from Germany.

However, the 23-year-old’s preference is to remain at Cherries – with his agent telling the Daily Echo that the ball is currently in the club’s court.

Asked about his contract situation by BBC Radio Solent, Anthony responded: “For me, I’m always focused on the football. I’ve left it to the club and my agent.

“I know they’ve been speaking, and we’ve left it with them (the club) for now, and hopefully we will see what happens.

“To be honest, I don’t really know where it is at. I hope something is close, but we’ve left it with them for now and I’m sure we’ll see what will happen in the future.”

With clubs now tracking the winger in case a new contract is not agreed, Anthony admitted that the interest was flattering – yet he was still focused on helping Cherries.

“We’ve got to look at all options, but I’m very happy here and I’m focused 100 per cent on helping the team wherever I can.

“It’s nice to know people like the way I’m playing, but my full focus is on doing my best for AFC Bournemouth.”

Anthony then reiterated his desire to stay at the club, if terms were agreeable.

“I’ve been here such a long time, and if it works for all parties, we can get something done.”
