THE funeral for former AFC Bournemouth chairman Eddie Mitchell is set to be held this month.
Eddie will be remembered at a service at Harbour View Crematorium on March 14.
He died peacefully at home on February 17 at the age of 69.
Eddie was well known for his work in the property industry, and for his ownership of the Cherries, holding the position of chairman between 2009 and 2013.
He was also chairman of Dorchester Town FC and was involved in Poole Town, too.
Eddie’s family previously paid tribute to him, saying: “He was one of a kind and lived his life to the full.
“Gone too soon but his legacy will remain through what he achieved in the world of property and Bournemouth football club.”
As well as property, Eddie latterly founded a football skills equipment company, Elite Skills Arena, and opened the UK’s first Technical Football Centre in Bournemouth.
Donations in memory of Eddie can be made to the British Heart Foundation and Lewis Manning Hospice via the Tapper Funeral Service website.
