A man reportedly shouted abuse at another driver that he was involved in a crash with before driving off without supplying any information.

The crash occurred at the stadium roundabout in Dorchester between a blue Vauxhall Corsa and another car.

It is reported that the driver of the second car shouted abuse at the Vauxhall driver, before driving off in the direction of Monkeys Jump roundabout without giving any details.

The car is described as a dark-coloured estate with tinted windows and a partial registration number of YR61. The male driver is described as white and of stocky build with short hair and was wearing orange high-vis clothing.

Police are investigating the hit and run in Dorchester and are appealing for anyone with information that may help identify the vehicle involved to get in touch.

Police Constable Ramsay Inkster, of Dorset Police, said: “Thankfully, the collision caused minor damage, and nobody was injured.

“I am keen to identify the driver of the vehicle that failed to stop at the scene and would ask anyone with information to help my enquiries to please come forward.

“I understand this happened in a busy area and I would like to hear from anyone who witnessed what happened or may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.”

The collision occurred at around 5.30pm on Thursday, October 26 and police have just revealed this information in attempts to identify the driver.
