Here is a selection of animals from the Ashley Heath Animal Centre in Dorset who are looking for their forever home.

Located on the border with Hampshire, the centre offers care for its animals in rural surroundings.

A few animals from the centre are listed below but more can be found on the centre's website.

If you wanted to donate to the Ashley Heath Animal Centre to support their work you can do so at their website.

Annie

Gender - Female

Age - 13 years old

Breed - Yorkshire Terrier

Colour - Black & Tan

If you want to adopt Annie you can view their full profile here.

Annie is described as a "playful old lady" who is looking for a quiet home with short walks and "a nice cosy sofa".

She will need a home free from children and other pets and potential adopters will need to live within an hour of the animal centre so they can visit Annie often and establish a bond before going home.

Ashley Heath Animal Centre adds: "Annie came from a household of 44 dogs whose owner was a hoarder and a recluse. Understandably, she can be a little standoffish when first meeting someone new but the more time she spends with them the more affectionate and playful she becomes towards them."

Lucky

Gender - Male

Age - One year old

Breed - Domestic Shorthair crossbreed

Colour - Black

If you want to adopt Lucky you can view their full profile here.

Lucky arrived at the centre due to a welfare concern, and is now looking for a forever home.

He is quite shy, is not keen on being handled and he can get quite stressed, but he can enjoy some fuss once he gets to know someone.

Lucky could possibly be rehomed with another cat, but not a dog. Additionally, he could be rehomed with children 10 years old or above.

Howard

Gender - Male

Age - Six years old

Breed - Domestic Shorthair crossbreed

Colour - Tabby-White

If you want to adopt Howard you can view their full profile here.

Howard arrived at the centre with a group of others due to a welfare concern, and is now looking for a quiet home to settle in at.

In his previous home he had little interaction with people and very few visitors, so it would be ideal if he could find a home with owners who have some experience with nervous cats.

Whilst in the RSPCA's care Howard has been fed on a dental diet, this will need to continue in the home. All veterinary history will be passed to adopters on enquiry.

Mabel and Titch

Gender - Female

Age -   Two years old

Breed - Bichon Frise crossbreed

Colour - White and Brown

If you want to adopt Mabel and Titch you can view their full profile here.

Mabel and Titch have been in the care of Ashley Heath Animal Centre after being part of a large welfare investigation but are now looking for a home together.

Both were very nervous at first, but have slowly grown to have some confidence, although it is expected Mabel may revert back briefly in a new environment.

Both dogs are sociable with other dogs and enjoy being fussed, brushed and clipped.
