A MIAMI inspired café bar is set to open at a second location in Bournemouth

Aviary Hospitality, owners of the popular Flamingo Café Bar in Winton, have been granted planning permission to open another branch in Boscombe.

The new Flamingo will operate from Boscombe Spa Road, in the unit formerly occupied by James & White and Reef Encounter.

The owners have unveiled plans for a new roadside terrace with sea views enclosed by an electric roof and perimeter glass.

Guests will be able to use this space from 8am to 10pm seven days a week.

The area will be heated throughout the winter and air-conditioned in the summer.

Joshua Simons at Aviary Hospitality said: ‘We’d like to thank the council for their support in granting permissions, and to the many residents that have already been in touch to let us know how excited they are that Flamingo is headed to Boscombe Spa.

“We’re proud to be opening our second location at this quite iconic site, just a stone’s throw from the beach.

“We’re building a talented team of 30 locals in time for our scheduled pre-summer opening, and look forward to welcoming everyone.”

Flamingo in Winton was first opened in May 2021, introducing its Miami-inspired all-day café bar concept.

It prides itself on working with local suppliers such as Webster Family Butchers, BigWigs Bakery, Woods Fish, Fluffetts Farm, and BadHand Coffee.

Last year, the business won Best Café at the Destination Management Board Tourism Awards.

An official opening date is yet to be announced for the new Boscombe Spa Flamingo, but owners are aiming for a pre-summer launch.
