BLACK Friday makes no difference in how busy Bournemouth's town centre is as people reveal they are "not fussed" about the day.

This Black Friday, Bournemouth town centre did not experience a rush of shoppers as people question whether Black Friday is still a thing.

Online shopping has appeared to take over the day with retailers like Amazon also launching Black Friday as early as November 18, so customers were enticed to shop online early.

On Black Friday, shoppers in the town centre were sceptical about the day, and some weren't even aware it was that day until they were informed.

Tina Allen-Robinson said: "I'm not fussed about the day, to be honest, no one has any money at the moment anyway and I don't think the offers make much difference, there are deals all year round."

Bournemouth Echo:

Kerry Clifford: “It’s funny isn’t it how everyone used to rush down to the shops whereas now it’s all gone online really.

"It’s a good chance to get some Christmas deals early but I don't really think there's much difference, it's all a scam I think.

Olivia said: “I forgot that it was Black Friday, I have come down as I haven't been down yet for the Christmas market.”

Ted Ingrum: "I doubt I will buy anything today, it's nice to look, but it's not as busy as I thought it might be, I guess everyone does their shopping online nowadays.

"I still like to shop in person, you get to see what it looks like and doesn't have to wait for ages for it to be delivered."
