Christmas is just a few weeks away now, and undoubtedly people will be thinking about getting a Christmas tree for their home in Dorset.

There are plenty out there being sold already, with the British Christmas Tree Growers Association estimating that between 6-8 million are purchased each year in the UK.

Dorset has quite a few spots throughout the county where you can buy a real Christmas tree.

Here are some of the places you can go to if it takes your fancy.

Where can you buy a real Christmas tree in Dorset?

Cranborne Christmas Trees

Address: Daggons Road, Alderholt, SP6 3DN

Cranborne Christmas Trees will be open every day from Friday, November 25 to Wednesday, December 21 from 9.30am to 4pm.

Customers will also be able to select their own tree from the field every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with last entry to the field at 3.30pm.

Types of trees that are available include Norway spruces and Nordmann firs.

If you want to come along at a weekend a space will need to be booked, which can be done at the website here.

Trinity Street Christmas Trees

Address: Trinity Street, Dorchester, DT1 1TU

Trinity Street Christmas Trees will open on Saturday, November 26 offering varieties like Nordmann firs, Norway spruces, Noble firs, Fraiser firs and so on.

The site will be open seven days a week, with it being open 9am-8pm from Monday to Saturday and 9am to 5pm on Sunday.

Pine and Needles

Address: 704-708 Christchurch Road, Bournemouth, Dorset, BH7 6BY

Pine and Needles is open right now and will be making deliveries until Monday, December 19.

It has a range of trees available between the sizes of 3 feet and 12 feet.

The shop delivers to the BH1, BH2, BH3, BH4, BH5, BH6, BH7, BH8 and BH9 postcodes.

BH Christmas Trees

Address: 71 Seabourne Road, Bournemouth, BH5 2HD

If you live in the BCP area you can get Christmas trees delivered for free by BH Christmas Trees.

Outside of BCP you can still take a visit to the store to grab your own, and they have a number of Nordmann firs in various sizes to pick from.

BH Christmas Trees began in 2020, set up by Southbourne-based event organisers to give people some festive cheer through a safe contact-free delivery service during the Covid pandemic.

Originally a pop-up stall on Southbourne High Street, BH Christmas Trees expanded into online sales with free local delivery.  

 

In 2021, the Christmas Tree Warehouse was opened on Seabourne Road to give people the fun of picking their own trees, especially with their children.

As an additional factor the company work with local charity, Diverse Abilities, who will collect and recycle your tree for a small £10 donation on either the 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th January 2023.
