EIGHT Wetherspoon pubs in Dorset will be hosting a 12-day real-ale festival in October – with cheap pints on tap.

From Wednesday, October 12 to Sunday, October 23, the chain will be offering up to 25 real ales, including three from overseas brewers who have brewed their beers in England for the festival.

The Moon in the Square in Exeter Road, and The Mary Shelly in The Quadrant Centre, both in Bournemouth, as well as The Nightjar in Victoria Road, Ferndown and The Parklands and Heatherlands in Wimborne Road, Winton will be taking part.

Priced from £1.99 to £2.10 a pint, drinks are supplied from breweries including Greene King, Coach House Brewery, Lancaster Brewery and Shepherd Neame Brewery.

The Moon in the Square manager, Terri Balloni, said: “The festival is a great celebration of real ale all made using only British-grown hop varieties.

“It will allow us to showcase a selection of superb ales over a 12-day period and support the British hop industry too.”
