FLORAL tributes have been left at the scene of a fatal crash in Christchurch.

Bouquets of flowers have been attached to the base of the black CCTV pillar in Barrack Road at the junction with Avenue Road and Portfield Road.

A motorcyclist, aged in his 40s and from Bournemouth died at the scene of the collision on the morning of Friday, September 30.

Dorset Police said the man was riding a black Kawasaki motorbike when it collided with a grey Suzuki Swift shortly before 9am.

Bournemouth Echo:

Police Sergeant Sarah Jones, of the traffic unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who sadly died.  

 “An investigation is underway to establish the full circumstances of the incident and I would urge anyone who witnessed what happened to please come forward.  

 “I am keen to speak to any motorists who were travelling along Barrack Road and may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage."
