POLICE are appealing for witnesses following the theft of three motocross bikes stolen from a garden shed which left owners “devastated”.

As previously reported, the Yamaha bikes were stolen from an address in Lincoln Road between 3.10am and 4.10am on Thursday, September 22.

Two of the bikes were 125cc blue motocross bikes with grey and black seats. The other was a 125cc blue motocross bike with white back panels.

Owner of the bikes Matthew Carter previously told the Echo: “I just want my bikes back. I’ve spent endless hours riding them. We are all really devastated.

"We’ve worked so hard to get those bikes, afford them, and look after them. It’s just one of those things.”

Officers investigating the theft are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Police Constable Thomas Henley, of Poole Police, said: “We have been carrying out enquiries into this incident and I would urge anyone with information relating to who might be responsible to please contact us.

“It is believed the offenders may have driven the bikes around roads in the surrounding area following the incident and I would urge anyone who witnessed this or captured anything relevant on dashcam footage to please get in touch.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who has come across bikes matching the descriptions given being offered for sale locally or online in unusual circumstances.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk/contact or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55220154664.
