A VILLAGE pub boasting “cosiness” and “great food”- St Peters Finger is Pub of the Week.

Found in the village of Lytchett Minster, St Peters Finger is a traditional British pub and a member of the Hall and Woodhouse family.

The pub is managed by Monika Drew, a woman with 15 years’ experience in the hospitality industry. She said: “I’ve been here two months. My first impression of the pub is that it's really loved. It has a really nice feel.

“It’s got a cosiness to it, and a good atmosphere.”

St Peters Finger continues to welcome both new and old faces, with many visiting from the nearby campsite.

Monika said: “We have a lot of regulars and then we have guests from the campsite at the end of the road.

“We also welcome dogs in the bar area.”

The pub offers a tempting selection of classics, as well as innovative vegan and vegetarian dishes.

Monika said: “We’ve got a lunch menu, so there’s sandwiches and lighter options. On the main menu, you can have a choice of nibbles, starters, and the mains.

“There’s all the classics on there. We do our own stake and tanglefoot pie. It’s our own recipe. I’d say its our most popular.

“Then there’s fish and chips, steak frites, cheeseburgers, as well as things like gnocchi and sea bass.”

Like many pubs under the Hall and Woodhouse family, St Peters Finger supports a chosen charity, and regularly holds fundraising events in its aid.

Monika told the Daily Echo that their chosen charity was Diverse Abilities which supports children and adults across Dorset with profound physical and learning disabilities.

Monika said: “We support Diverse Abilities.

“We did something for the jubilee weekend. We had a DJ and raised some money for the charity.“
