IN WIMBORNE, you have the very successful Tivoli, where many very well known acts appear.
In Christchurch, the wonderful return of the Regent.
And yet in Ringwood, the former cinema still stands empty.
It fronts the Market Place and is adjacent to the main public car park, where buses come and go.
Various planning permissions have been given for alternative schemes.
And yet, Ringwood is screaming out for a cinema/theatre.
The problem is, of course, the price tag for the site.
The building could have attracted a handsome rent as a cinema and with live acts, bringing a much-needed venue in Ringwood back to use.
Surely there must be someone, somewhere, who has some spare cash.
I know if I won one of those massive rollover Euro Millions lotteries I would look into the project. Why? Because I am local and remember it being a cinema.
