POLICE are searching for a Good Samaritan who went to the aid of a teenage girl after she was kicked at a recreation ground in Poole.

The man helped the 14-year-old victim after she was kicked between the legs during the incident at Upton Recreation Ground at around 5.30pm on Sunday, May 15.

Police said the girl and her friend were approached by a group of male teenagers, two of whom were on bicycles.

The group attempted to engage the victim in conversation and blocked the girl’s path with one of the bikes. The victim attempted to push one of the teenagers out of the way when he kicked the girl.

She did not sustain any serious injuries.

Police Constable Katie Wallis, of Dorset Police, said: “We are continuing to investigate this assault and have obtained further details from the victim.

“We understand that a man intervened and came to the aid of the victim following the assault and we are keen to identify this individual as they may have information to assist our investigation.

“I would also urge anyone with information relating to this incident to please come forward.”
