A MAN has been ordered to carry out unpaid work for wounding another man on New Year’s Day.
Police were called to an address in Poole shortly before 1.30am on January 1 to reports of an assault at an address.
Ryan James Hankin, aged 29 and of Wimborne Road East, Ferndown, was charged with unlawfully and maliciously wounding a man.
He pleaded guilty to the single charge at a Poole Magistrates’ Court hearing on May 13.
Hankin was issued with a 12-month community order, with a requirement to carry out 120 hours of unpaid work.
The defendant was ordered to pay £200 compensation, £95 surcharge and £85 costs.
