A MOBILITY scooter belonging to a “vulnerable” person was stolen from a car parked in Bournemouth in the early hours of the morning.

The stolen from the back seat of an Audi parked in the Bath Road area after the rear windows were smashed sometime between 4am and 4.10am on Saturday, May 14.

Police said the victim was woken by the car alarm but did not see the offender.

Police Constable Dan Goswell, of Dorset Police, said: “This mobility scooter was taken from a vulnerable person who has been badly affected by the crime. Her car has also been damaged by the suspect.

“I am keen to hear from anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area of Bath Road, particularly anyone seen shining torches inside parked vehicles, in the early hours of Saturday 14 May 2022. I would also like to hear from anyone who may have captured anything relevant on dashcam, doorbell cameras or home CCTV systems.

Bournemouth Echo:

“As part of my enquiries, I am issuing an image of the stolen scooter, which is a lime green Minimus folding scooter, and would ask anyone who recognises it or has seen it for sale locally in unusual circumstances to please get in touch.”
