A MAN was hospitalised on Tuesday after being punched several times at Christchurch Railway Station. 

The victim, who was also knocked to the ground, is currently in hospital receiving medical treatment. 

Police were called to the incident at 11.20pm on Tuesday, May 17 where they arrested two 17-year-old males who are now in custody. 

Officers are keen to speak to anybody who was in or around the station at the time. 

Detective Sergeant Mike Blakeburn said: “We believe that a number of people were in or around the station at the time.  

“In particular, we believe there was another man in close proximity to the incident who could have vital information which may help us with our investigation.   

“I’d like to appeal to him to come forward and help us with our enquiries.
